The history of Prolab began in 1997, when Kodak opened the first professional photo laboratory in Russia.
The first managers from Kodak brought with them European quality standards and service culture. So a lab was founded, which not only demonstrated the possibilities of print but also adhered to high professional standards.
Neil Cooper, the former Director general of Russian Kodak department in the years 1992-2004, says: "During the early 1990s Russia knew only black-and-white photography. Nobody believed us when we said we can change the situation in five years. But by 1997, Russia was in the middle of amateur color photography boom. But nobody knew the craft of professional print. So we have opened a laboratory, which was unique in Russia at that time. And ProLab services instantly became highly popular".
All 10 years we are known for high quality of work and professionalism.
On January 1, 2002 ProLab became an independent company, retaining the right to use Kodak trademark and technologies.
Today ProLab is the major professional lab with machine, hand custom and large-format printing facilities.
Our recent technoloqies and highly professional personnel make printing for art photographers and galleries a quick and easy task. Along with it we are constantly improving quality advertising and interior printing services.
