"Views of Amsterdam" is another project of Prolab in a series of exhibitions aiming to make russian photographic artists well-known among general public.
Nadezhda Kuznetsova is the author with special distinct slyle, who combines photography and graphic drawing. It seems she is trying to make a photograph as much hand-made as possible. "Views of Amsterdam" is that kind of project, which emphasizes authors unique style.
Moreover, "Views of Amsterdam" is a part of Kodak major programme "Photography inside the interior", which is dedicated to make photography a popular instrument of interior design.
The series of black and white photographs processed replicating the style of Old Master prints - middle-age engravings of Dutch masters, which are famous for their delicate psychologism and finest details. Views of Amsterdam, captured by Nadezhda Kuznetsova, are full of unique emotional power that brings them closer to landscape photography.
We admire to show how well recent technologies in images post-processing mix with the vintage style of the pictures.
The photographs were printed on translucent display materials and in different sizes. As a result large size images look on the wall as real as authentic fine art engravings.
